CHUNKER

We know these are not the most flattering pictures of beautiful Avery, but lately she's been chubbing it up for the camera.

Check out the stomach and her 4 chins (2 are technically neck rolls).

AJ continually demonstrates her Fight the Power stance...
And here she just wanted to show a little skin...

Have a great week and happy leap year (the closest Scott gets to a 1/2 birthday)!

Avery on the move...

We took a trip into Manhattan on Saturday and it was Avery's first time on the subway. She slept well, just like this fellow rider. We thought they made a great pair.

This was Avery in the 20 degree weather last Monday on the way to her 1 month peditrican appointment. She had grown 2 inches and 2 lbs in her first month (not that you can tell from this outfit, but she stayed super warm thanks to Aunt Shana, Uncle Scotty and cousin Tillie).
When Scott came home Monday night, Avery was really releaved and took a conked out snooze in her favorite position on Daddy.

Scott surprised Avery with a special 5 week bday/Valentine's day gift on Thursday. Her pink pacifier was a HUGE success. Here's a very contented Avery hanging in her bouncy seat before bed.

Earlier in the day, Avery and I took some glam shots to help remember her First Valentine's Day!

Avery speaks!!!

Avery is officially one month old today! That's 31 days... and with a pair of 31 year old parents, that makes our little bug 1/365th our age! Pretty cool.

What was even more amazing was that Avery started speaking in complete sentences this week. Obviously, she's very advanced for a one month old! Check it out:

Superbowl

Scott, Avery and I taking a stroll before the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Avery's fond of throwing a tantrum as we leave our apartment building and then passing out the moment we hit the pavement.

Avery watching the Super Bowl (not phased by the Giants' victory).

Avery very peaceful with no pants on :)

Avery mid-sneeze!

Pictures from the parade on Tuesday for the GIANTS!

Scott's office building is right on the Canyon of Heroes so his whole firm got to hang out on the ledge and watch the parade go by. Here's Eliot Spitzer's bald head.

My friend, Michael Strahan, videotaping Scott's building (he's not really my friend but we did hang out and have a drink together 2 years ago, but I didn't know who he was!). Eli at the front of the float along with Tom Coughlin holding the Super Bowl trophy!

Strahan was recording the people sitting out on the window ledges of Scott's building.

Here are some of Scott's co-workers...

More views from the ledge and of the estimated one million people celebrating on Broadway!

More fun visitors!

Hi everyone,
It's been a good week with little Avery, and we've enjoyed visits and help from lots of friends and family. Elizabeth came by early in the week to meet Avery and they seemed to get along well!

Grandma stayed over on Wednesday and Thursday night, and was a big help calming Avery. They had lots of cute bonding time (as exampled in these pics!!).

Gil, Drew and Sadie came up from D.C. to spend Saturday afternoon with us. It was hard to believe how much Sadie had grown since the last time we saw her!

It was a lot of fun introducing Avery and Sadie to each other. They basically spent all afternoon taking turns crying, sleeping, and generally just being cute. Here's a typical sequence where Avery realized it was her turn to cry.

Avery's also begun sleeping on us in this position. She's a super sweet and cuddly little girl!
