This weekend, Cheryl turned 31 (years) and Avery reached 31 (weeks). Cheryl and I had a really nice weekend together to celebrate her birthday. Saturday night, we went to the Brooklyn Museum, which is free & full of fun events the first Saturday of each month. We heard some live music, watched some short films, and looked at all sorts of art. Below are some images from the Contemporary Caribbean Art exhibition, which is where we spent most of our time.
After the museum, we had a late dinner at a Turkish spot in the neighborhood. It ended up being a nice evening from start to finish. Today, we saw Michael Clayton, which we both enjoyed very much, then had a great BD dinner at Po, followed by some great caramel gelato and a cupcake (with candles in them) from our favorite local bakery.
My mom and Lisa will be in town at the end of this week, so we're both looking forward to that. Cheryl and I keep telling each other that we have to get serious about baby prep soon, so their visit may be our last hurrah for awhile. Which reminds me... please vote in our new poll!

You two will do all of the first four anyway, so my vote is to focus on the last....just relaxing & enjoying time together! Stefan/Dad
hi guys!! i love avery's blog!! i hope you keep doing it once she arrives. anyway, i voted get your apartment ready only because i think that will be a big relief once it's done and you so don't want to be scrambling around getting things ready once she's here. beside, picking out baby bedding and layette can be fun and relaxing together time, too!! xoxoxox
